Namadgi takes out 3rd on handicap

Congratulations to Paul Jones and crew, who tool out third place in the PHS handicap division of the 2009 Sydney to Hobart Race.

After some early sail damage in a strong headwinds, the crew ran into dead calm conditions off the southern NSW coast, but recovered in the last 48 hours with a very fast run across Bass Strait and an excellent final result.

Paul's crew was made up of Club members Mike Dunn, George Imashev, Phil Kavanagh, Peter Otteson, Sam DeLorenzo, Brad Horwood, and Greg Haughey.

2010 Sailing Programme

Namadgi's has returned from her winter cruise and planning is under way for the 2010 season. At this stage the plan includes a trip to Vanuatu via New Caledonia, and then a return to Cairns and some cruising in North Queensland, before returning to Sydney.
